Razage
Okay, I think I'm pretty decent at duels but I do have one piece of kyptonite to work out of my style. The heavy stance. I am unsure how to combat it. Far to powerful for me to go toe to toe with my medium stance. I find that I am usuing saber throw, dodging my opponent like the plague and trying to hit him after he swings. With the 2 hit (Potentially 1 hit) kill I just can't seem to shave off his hp fast enough. Any suggestions?
II_Aragorn_II
with a swing as slow as the heavy stance's you should be able to wait for the guy(or chick) to swing then go in and hit him, then back out again. now heavy stance + fu**ing newb who uses drain; thats a problem. Razage
*Will leave out the fact that himself uses medium + drain and just continue with the thread* Hrm, that's what I am trying to do right now, any other tips?
deci.sw
well... theres a good strat you can use against heavy even if you don't have any force. basically you use the wall run tactic (thats when you jump and strafe up a wall). but instead you use it on the person. pretty much what you do is either wait for them to swing then run straight at them, when you are touching them press jump. what you will do is run up there chest and flip off. this does 2 things... one it does damage. if you do this to a person around 5 times you can kill them without even swinging. second, it knocks them down. after they are knocked down just run up and hit them while they get up. then repeat. against heavy swings its easy to do because you can use it either after a swing or right when they are starting a swing if you are close enough. just don't get hit going in or you are dead in two hits. enjoy! Razage
Yup, I've tried that one too! Sometimes people are crafty though, especially people who use heavy stance a lot. They are really good at dodging that and then coming in behind you.
UnearthlyRogue
Saber throw is probably the best counter to strong stance. Right when they wind up for their swing, throw the saber at their chest and avoid their attack. Then follow up with a medium spin to finish. falo
I think it all boils down to either being really nimble or using strong stance yourself.
[PMV] Joker
I've found that the best way to beat heavy stance is to use push and then either the saber throw or the ground hack. The problem with heavy is that the animation for each swing is so long that you can see it coming a mile away and have time to fire off a push, which will always knock them down. The real problem comes in when they're using drain and pressing the attack constantly. You can switch up to the light side for...Absorb, I think, the aura that counters force powers...and use that to counter drain, which should make for an even matchup. -[PMV] Joker
Soul-Burn
^^ don't forget that best duels are forceless (only SJT - Saber Jump Throw). So push goes out the window... The best thing I guess, is to see when it's over and fast slash them :/
JediGhost[SITH]
My advice (sorry if it's been posted), is throw. Either backstep away from him, and hope he swipes, and throw... Or strafe and try to get around behind him while he swings and hit him in the back I use heavy, and it seems to be what kills me.. Also very annoying (especially the run away & throw method)
