how to timedemo in JK2

I would like to bench mark my systems at different settings using a timedemo but, typing timedemo and a demo name is working

 

the console tells me

 

"timedemo is cheat protected" or soemthing close to that

 

any help would be appreciated

i went to the console and tried

 

cheat 1

seta cheat 1

 

and tried running a time demo after those enteries, but still it would not run

In SP HelpUsObi 1 enables cheats. In MP you have to type devmap map. Map is the name of the map you want to load ( e.g.

ctf_yavin ).

do the following to get your timedemo working

 

bring down the console in multiplayer on main screen

type in devmap ffa_bespin

timedemo 1

disconnect (this will drop you back to main screen)

demo jk2ffa

 

when it is done bring down the console and use page up a few times to see your fps
