untamo Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 How do you capture screen shots in JK II: JO? could someone please let me know? Thanks
BlackDragon Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 Open the console (Shift & ~ in the US, Shift & ` in the UK), type BIND key "screenshot" where key is the key you want to use to take screenshots.
Darth Diablo Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 I'm still having trouble taking the screenshots. I've tried: bind key screenshot \bind key screenshot bind key "screenshot" \bind key "screenshot" none of these have worked. Is the command case sensitive? Are the quotes needed? The "\"? Anyone have any clues?
BlackDragon Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 The other thing you can do is edit your cfg file (jk2config.cfg) which shows the syntax for all the other keys. If you open this you will see all the other commands and you can add an extra line to to bind the screenshot command. If you're unsure about editing the cfg file - DON'T. At least make a backup copy of it before you do so. And yes, the quotes are necessary. What are you actually typing? (ie, what key are you trying to bind?)
PhantomHelix Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Once you-re in the jkconfig.cfg file, pick any key at random for taking a screenshot. For example: bind TAB "screenshot".
PhantomHelix Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Dont feel like only you had the problem. I did too. It was really pissing me off for about a week cause I couldn't find it anywhere.
Darth Diablo Posted April 13, 2002 Posted April 13, 2002 I finally got it. I was trying to bind the "." key. Well, I wasn't using the peiod key, I was using the decimal key on the Num Pad. Apparently JKII doesn't like that key. I changed it to the period and it works now. Thanks.
Armchair Athlet Posted April 13, 2002 Posted April 13, 2002 On the topic, I want to bind it to the Print Screen key. I don't know what the proper name for this key is in the console. I've tried PrintScreen, PrtScn, PrntScrn to no avail. Anyone know what it's called? Or maybe you cannot use it?
MinusBlindfold Posted April 13, 2002 Posted April 13, 2002 The period on the keypad would be kp_del or something to the likes. I have bound Walk/Run bound to kp_end and it works. try kp_del. should work. maybe kp_delete. but if you do bind . "screenshot" it will just bind . to it, not the keypad . Cheers
