I'm still having trouble taking the screenshots.

I've tried:

bind key screenshot

\bind key screenshot

bind key "screenshot"

\bind key "screenshot"

none of these have worked. Is the command case sensitive? Are the quotes needed? The "\"?

Anyone have any clues?

The other thing you can do is edit your cfg file (jk2config.cfg) which shows the syntax for all the other keys. If you open this you will see all the other commands and you can add an extra line to to bind the screenshot command.

If you're unsure about editing the cfg file - DON'T. At least make a backup copy of it before you do so.

And yes, the quotes are necessary.

What are you actually typing? (ie, what key are you trying to bind?)

I finally got it.

I was trying to bind the "." key.

Well, I wasn't using the peiod key, I was using the decimal key on the Num Pad. Apparently JKII doesn't like that key. I changed it to the period and it works now. :)

Thanks.

On the topic, I want to bind it to the Print Screen key. I don't know what the proper name for this key is in the console. I've tried PrintScreen, PrtScn, PrntScrn to no avail. Anyone know what it's called?

Or maybe you cannot use it?

The period on the keypad would be kp_del or something to the likes. I have bound Walk/Run bound to kp_end and it works. try kp_del. should work. maybe kp_delete. but if you do bind . "screenshot" it will just bind . to it, not the keypad . :D

Cheers
