VicBStard Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Check out this url http://www.jedinights.com/jk2shots/index.html I saw the "shiny floored ice place " level running on a video in PC World the other day. I wonder if Ravensoft will ever release it as a map (using SP sabre mechanics)?
Immortal LuD Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 I like the hangar floor... All nice and reflective.
Cyclone Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Did anyone get to see this nice reflective floor in the game? I played the game, but never saw this kind of reflection. I have a Geforce2, so maybe I need to bump up the details (or use this as an excuse to get that GF4 I want). But did anyone get to see anything like this? Hell, Unreal 1 had reflective floors back when I was using a Voodoo1 on a Pent 180mhz. Cyclone.
VicBStard Posted April 10, 2002 Author Posted April 10, 2002 Yes Zek, it is very similar to the deathstar map (probably evolved into it), but the video has a really cool shiny floor and looked to me to have a walkway around the wall- about halfway up. The screenshots also show a location outside, perhaps on a roof, in an icy environment.
Scarlet Widow Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Yeah, its a damn shame there arn't any reflective surfaces in the actual game ...they would have added a lot i think.
quamosity Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 that reflective floor level with the jedi's fighting was featured in a demo that Raven showed off to a few lucky people at quakecon. It was really really awesome. I wonder if it will every be released to play
Valdarious Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 There is one reflection in the game. Its in the final map against Desann
Eternal Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Yeah, there is a mirror in the final level. Odd that they didn't include more reflective surfaces in the game. Although considering the environments were so large, mirrors could lead to some serious slowdown. That level should be released though
[sico] Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 looks like hoth coz of the snowy mountains you can see out the hangar.
