rcon password

ok, i have everything on my server running smoothly except for the fact that i cant get into rcon from my games console. I am used to playing counterstrike and when you drop down the console you type in the password and it says password accepted. What i wanna know is does it tell you the password was accepted, what is the exact command in the console of the game to get into rcon. What I am trying to do is restart the rounds, kick players and stuff like that from the game I am playing and not from the server. please help guide me through EXACTLY what i need to do to get into here. My settings seem to be cool and the game runs great, its just my clan is about ready for matches and i need these things to start running them

Here's what you do:

 

Fire up the game

Connect to your server

Hit shift` to bring down the console

Type the following:

 

/set rconpassword blah

 

You will not get any confirmation that it's right or wrong at this point. Obviously, you replace blah with your actual password. From that point on, until you restart the game, you can use commands such as the following:

 

/rcon kick playername

 

/rcon clientkick playernumber

 

/rcon map mapname

 

/rcon map_restart

 

If you don't want to use the /set rconpassword command you can still issue the above commands. You just need to put the rcon password in between the /rcon and the command. If you typed the password wrong you will get a "bad rcon password" message.

I find the best way to confirm if Rconpassword worked is to type: /Rcon Status

 

If you see the IP address to yourself and those playing, your good to go.
