Guest kyrosmagi
i really would like triggers that worked and gave many more options, and a mode where you would give a player no ai( they wont move or do things on their own) i would really like that thanx
Guest Kvan
Why do you want a mode with no AI? Are you that bad? I'm sure you can't be as bad as me!
Guest kyrosmagi
no, i mean 4 a dummy player that will allow you 2 keep a villi still and military still in 1 place if you tell them 2 do stuff with a certain villager they will continue 2 do it, but not initiate actions with inactive villis

Paragon_Leon
what he probably is talking about is setting up a neutral village with population that doesn't repond... in AOK if you tried that, they would make a mess of your village and start attacking / get slaughtered. Guest kyrosmagi
ok.... i will explain. ne1 played swallowed realms scenerios? what if you want 2 villagers for an entire civilization, but you dont want them to do anything. 4 example, i want this 4 a scenerio where i wanted your character to see his parents, but i didnt want the character to control his parents(the two villis). it worked fine with just two villis @ first(using the freeze effect), but i built another part of the map with a lumber camp in it and a house( i wanted it to signify a lumber company). they started moving as soon as i built that lumber camp and i couldnt stop them. so what i am saying is to make a scenerio that would allow you to actuially keep something frozen if you told it to. like what if in a scenerio you wanted a player to be the jedi council, and then they started to move. that would suck. but to explain the other part, making no ai for a player would solve that problem. you wouldnt have to worry about making triggers to stop a unit from moving, only triggers to make them do stuff. 4ex. you could make a player that wouldnt do nething until you told them too. But, i am primarially talking about rpgish scenerios, not scenerios where you have 2 build up and then defeat ppl
Guest SoReFiNgErZ
Me and kyrosmagi have been brainstorming and developing our scenerios for AOK, the fact is..we keep running into the problem of being limited to the triggers that are programed. The no AI (Artificial-Inteligence) map would do wonders for the scenerio builders out there. all that would be needed was a trigger to give movement control over that unit. aside from that they need to add a simpler way to have a larger range of options. Reading how to Script is time consuming and not easily understood. Plus, in the SR series, the creator had to "Freeze" over, id say, 200-300 units! why not make it a bit easier for us gamers, and it isnt much expence on the programers part..just a few tweeks and there u have it. Guest kyrosmagi
ok... also i mean that it is OPTIONAL. i dont mean that it always does this(it would b 2 hard 2 program them then) i just mean 4 a certain character the comp wont do somthing by itself
