Henry The Red Posted April 11, 2002 Share Posted April 11, 2002 Does anyone else besides me have whiney siblings when it comes to playing Jedi Knight 2? I just got done killing my brothers in a free for all game and I won..which is the reason for this rant. You see, I play for fun unlike my brothers and when they loose all the time they take it personally. No more than and hour ago after a game of JK2 my brother was so mad about loosing he starting a shoving contest which I also ended up winning ...after the dust settled we went to our rooms. About 30 minutes later my brother comes in my room and apologizes for his temper tantrum, I accepted and we decided to play one more before calling it a night. Well a half hour passes by and I end up defeating them both again, so I go to the kitchen to get a drink before bed and the shoving brother comes down and is so pissed that he swings at me and misses (whoosh) and I end up shoving him on the ground (I would never stoop to his level and punch him). My oldest brother comes downstairs and acts like a bouncer and breaks it up and then orders me to my room..without starting another fight this time with my oldest brother, I decide to bite my tongue and head back to my room. This whole thing was caused by me winning 2 games of JK2. I would also like to note that I wasn't being a jerk when I won and I even went as far as to congratulate them on a good game. This just goes to show that some people bring a whole new meaning to the term sore loser. If you took the time to read this conglomerate of a post I thank you..and may the force be with you..err...I think. ps. I am 19, my angered brother is 25 and my oldest bro is 29. Seriously though, you have some immature family members, when you were writing that I was imaging like 12 year old brother and 20 year old older brother... Worst yet is that he is so focused on the winning that every shot I make its "Lucky shot" or "Rocket boy!" He complains that my roommate and I use what he calls "power weapons" i.e. the Chaingun, rocket launcher, grenade launcher, railgun... super shotgun... pretty much anything but hand grenades and the blaster fit his deffinition. The guy is totally whacked. And in his mind, we are poor players because we use these weapons and NEED them to win(which I might add he uses himself). Its totally ridiculous. I have never seen someone so unbelievably unprepared to lose in my entire life. We've taken to recording demos of him ingame so that we have some evidence of his own "power weapon" play.
