Kristian
I've downloaded the file a number of times from jediknightii.net and despite the zip file showing a "_b" to indicate it has been updated, the executable within is still the 1.02a build. I'm assuming the 'nix binary there for download is 1.02b, because I haven't seen a single 'nix admin post about this (and they're usually pretty anal, so you'd expect them to notice *chuckle*). Any chance we could get this updated? I don't have time to install a linux distro right now, but I would like to be running the latest release of the ded server -Cris
MatrixCPA
I went through every source I could find and downloaded several copies of the win dedicated server exe. All of them say they are v1.02a, however they are dated April 9. That leads me to believe that they have updated the exe to 1.02b but just forgot to change the version listed internally in the exe. I don't have an archive copy of the win exe handy to check file sizes. If someone else has both, go ahead and post the result here. If they're the same exact size, then I'd be suspicious. Bax
They are not the same, just did a file compare. (fc.exe /b)
MatrixCPA
Thanks, Bax. That would tend to indicate to me that someone just forgot to change the internal version number.
Kristian
Ok, good to know Don't suppose you know if they addressed the Opstack error that turns up when you turn on dismemberment? I am itching to switch that back on - nothing quite beats the feeling you get from decapitating an opponent - muwahaha! As always, I'll try it again tonight, but I'm too lazy to do it remotely, plus there are people playing on my server anyway *grin* -C
MasterData
I still get the opstack error when dismemberments are enabled on this version of the dedicated server.
MatrixCPA
Heh. Figures. I'm glad I kept it turned off.
