D-link router issue

here's the prob, I replaced my linksys router with a D-Link DI-704P router, the problem is that the game will run the server fine, and it will even send a heartbeat to the JK2 master and gamespy master servers, but in both cases I can't see the game in the lists. Any ideas?

If the heartbeat is making it through, make sure you aren't filtering the server out by looking for the wrong game type/not empty/not full/etc.

All the filters are correct

In that case, I would think that either the heartbeat is not making it through or that the return query from the master server isn't making it through. Can you connect via ip to the server?

I think i know what happened...Other people can connect to the server I guess, and I can connect through the LAN filter. But whenever I connect everyone else times out, me thinks I need to change my ports.

I've read elsewhere that if you run a server on the same machine that you play from, it's necessary to use the non-default port. I haven't been able to test this myself, but it sounds reasonable and worth a shot. Let us know how it goes.

Just got back from work. I haven't changed the port yet, but I'm not playing the game form the same machine. I have the server on my LAN so with dhcp on, so there could be some conflict. I'll try changing the port and we'll see what's what....
