Error message when starting MP

Well,

 

I can start the MP programme, then i can do whatever setup or rules etc... then i press "Play" and i can get to the server list. i choose 'only JK2' and 'Free for all' and up pops a long list of servers

 

i can look at the server details and after that i press 'join server'

if you need a password or the server is full it will tell me and i can go back to the server select screen

 

if either of those 2 things does not happen then the "Awaiting challenge 1" comes up but just for one second then that line changes to "Awaiting gamestate".....but a few seconds later the music starts to repeat the same second of song again and again and then up pops this box:

Jk2mp has caused an error in S3MICD.DLL

Jk2mp will now close.If you continue to experience problems,

try restarting your computer

 

the first time instead of S3MICD.DLL it said "KERNEL32.DLL"

 

can someone please tell me whats going wrong?

 

EDIT: ive worked out that the S3MICD.DLL file has got something to do with me graphics card S3 Savage 4
