Duel!! A real dumb question follows....

Lo peeps,

can you help me? I run my own server using FFA and CTF maps, when the server has been voted to change duel maps then my problem occurs. When it is in duel the 2 players fighting stay on for ever, there is no changing of players after someone is killed, winner and loser stay on.

I need to know if there is a command I can put in my server.cfg to prevent this.

Any help would be appreciated

Do you already have settings for:

 

fraglimit

duel_fraglimit

 

If not, then that would be the problem. The fraglimit is typically set to 1 automatically if you run a duel only server. In a duel, the fraglimit determines how many kills it takes (by one player) before a new opponent is rotated in. The duel_fraglimit determines when the map is rotated (if the timelimit isn't hit first). Each successful "win" by reaching the fraglimit counts as 1 toward the duel_fraglimit. If a single player wins enough to reach the duel_fraglimit, the next map is called.

 

Now, a problem may be that if you run FFA and have the fraglimit set to some high number....that number may be carrying over to the duel--which would be a problem. I've purposefully avoided enabling voting just for this reason. At least if you have a strict rotation going, you can switch modes and settings together.

 

Take a look at your settings or just paste up your server.cfg. ;)
