We can stop racking our brains trying to figure out the commands to remove Jan's vest and chaps and put the shoulder pad on the stormtrooper. Ive just recieved an email from Mike Gummelt, a programmer for JK2. Ive been speaking with him through email, and he was kind enough to check with the team for me if there was a way to do this. his reply, to the word was: "Well, there is, currently, no way to do this... but we have added it to our "wish list" if we have time we may try to make some way of doing this in MP..." so guess we'll be waiting until the sdk guys -Abs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Arco Posted April 13, 2002 Share Posted April 13, 2002 well it is possible as just yesterday I had my skin being tested on the kyle model and i got rid of the shoulder pad and his belt AND his coller... it is simple and easy to do. To do this just find the part in the .skin file and change the texture to "clear". EXAMPLE: in kyle's default.skin change hips_belt, models/players/kyle/kyle_extras.tga TO hips_belt, clear It is that simple. This will work for multiplayer, and this is the complete list of parts that are safe to turn off. Also note that no model parts can be turned ON, so don't ask how.
