Using Skins

hi, how can i see, that a server has enabled skins! I would like to play with the cool skins, but nearly no server supports "skins =on"! How can i see it before i connect to a server?

or how ist the command line for skins on or of?

There isn't a particular setting for just skins. What you can look for is an unpure server (sv_pure "0"). Those servers don't care what skins you use or if you've hacked up the pk3 files to cheat. Now, you can use a custom skin on a pure server if that server also has the same skin installed. I don't know of any way to detect that from just the serverinfo--unless an admin adds it as a custom value using sets. Remember, even if you get on a server that has the skin you want to use....the rest of the players, if they don't have it, will only see you in a default skin. Now, if all that matters is what you look like to yourself, fine. If the idea is for everyone to see you in it, that's out of your control.
