How do you "block" push/pull?

In single player, if you try to push/pull other "jedi", they simply block it. IN multiplayer, I heard you can do this, or at least make the push/pull not do anything (without using absorb)

Is this true?

I'm not sure exactly how it works but essentially you dont do anything. I think you need some force power left but as long as you arent attacking or using a force power yourself, you have a natural resistance.

also you have to have selected force pull or push. if you dont have any of these selected in your force powers then you cannot block them no matter what you do.

Pull is countered by pull, and push by push.

As long as you have enough force power and the appropriate power level of force selected, you can block the push/pull power.

From observation I think that if the two power levels differ then the difference is used to push/pull them.

eg. Player1 has level 3 pull, and level 3 push. Player2 has level 2 push, and level 2 pull.

If player2 tries to pull player1, he cannot (provided player1 is not doing anything, and has enough force power left), as player1 has a higher force power in pull than player2 does in pull.

If player1 pushes player2, then player2 will be pushed back slightly. The same result will occur if player1 had lvl 1 push, and player2 had lvl 0 push.

If you have any evidence to prove this point more accurately, or to disprove it, post it :D
