Destructive Posted April 19, 2002 Share Posted April 19, 2002 help me! i was messing around and changed the launguage to german, and i noticed that dismemberment was turning itself off... then the option disappeared! i changed it back to english and it was still gone and it wont come back, reset options to defaults and everything. please help! gravioli Posted April 19, 2002 Share Posted April 19, 2002 It probably has something to do with the fact that violence in video games is so taboo in Germany. But it doesn't make sense that it doesn't come back when you switch it back to English. You should be able to go into the jediknight CFG file in JKII's "Data" directory and reset the dismemberment option. Although, I'm not sure which line you will have to change in order to do it. I would check right now, but I'm not on my own computer at the moment. If someone else doesn't figure it out for you, then I will let you know as soon as I am back home at my computer. Therefore it only works when cheats are enabled (HelpUsObi_1). Probably that ist not what Destructive is looking for... Actually I have problems myself with dismemberment since I am using the actual Europeean version and you have to do a lot of tweaking to get it running in the firest place. Bluezman Posted May 21, 2002 Share Posted May 21, 2002 Actually, Maddes' files didn't work for me. I talked to him and to other ppl too and we couldn't figure out what the reason was. Even tried installations under different OS (Win XP, Win 9x, ...) For me it only worked with Maddes' files in addition to a cracked JK2sp.exe which I got from http://www.bloodpatches.de. Weird... =DD=Slá¥èr Posted May 21, 2002 Share Posted May 21, 2002 These lines have to be added to your JKII config (no cracked version with these config-files) seta ui_iscensored "0" seta g_dismemberProbabilities "1" seta g_dismemberment "3" seta sp_language "0" Addition : If you want real "fly-high-limbs" , set this value : seta g_saberRealisticCombat "0" to "1", but u have to writeprotect your config, `cause JKII sets this value every time you load a game back to its default.
