MatrixCPA Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 As far as I'm aware, it only works for maps. If you include a skin inside a map, it will download it...but that's an awful work around.
tubesock Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 If it's anything like q3's server... you need to run it pure.. and basically, any .pk3's the server has that the user does not, will be downloaded to the client (assuming they have auto download on).... I have used this for decals/skins/etc in q3. -Tube
MatrixCPA Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 That's the trick though. Most clients have autoDownload OFF by default. Ultimately, you can play on a server without the custom skins without any trouble. You'll just see anyone in a skin you don't have in a default skin instead.
