hartsoup
Okay, first off if you're going to post a strategy guide *ahem* Armchairathlete *ahem* please don't include force strategy with saber strats... Very important for everyone to know that forces (like grip, lightning etc) is not a part of dueling. Real duelists duel without force, simply because once player can win simply by draining his opponent, gripping and slashing once the player is dropped. This is NOT dueling, this is force killing. Dueling is two people dueling using their sabers, sometimes throw is involved, but that's preference I guess. To me forces are just a distraction when I'm dueling so I try to avoid force available duel servers, but if there's non, I will just drain my opponent or request NF. Please make sure you keep dueling and forces seperate, because they're not one in the same. thnx.
Ryouga
I totally agree other then sabre upgrades (No throwing) and jump I dont use any force other then mind trick to escape them newbies who use lightning on you for hours, but then I use it and run away instead of trying to attack when they are blind. Real duelists should rely on there sabers and not some uber over powered moves
Tarus
Well im fine with duels but im always at a disadvantage...why? I don't use the heavy combat style and I don't pick it--I put my force points elsewhere. However its not a major deal...and luckly when in a duel you can still use force throw and jump since i like them both. I think the funnest duels are neutral powers only....Is there anyway to only allow neutral powers? Even with a mode set to plain Jedi people still max heal and run. Munkejens
i just wanted to add a comment about your drain-tactic. i REALLY REALLY REALLY hate duelist who always and only use drainforce (even if it for the sake of No Force and don't use forces them selves). when you drain your opponent he won't be able to forcejump, which is required to do certain special moves. this puts him in a disadvantage and now you do not have your fair duel as you wanted. so a big message to all outthere using nothing but drain: it's not a good and clean way to have a fair duel with no forcepowers, if that is what you intend. just comment that you won't use force and maybe you can have an agreement (i know i would agree to NF). Dude, just use absorb. If you don't want to play a defensive game, (absorb) play an offensive one and use drain, and use it faster than him. Sure drain puts you at an unfair advantage if you get it past their absorb defense. Just the same as a saber to the head puts you at an unfair advantage cause now they're half dead. Adjust your defense so you make them play the kind of game you want, then since you're playing your game you should win. If not then the problem isn't with drain. Munkejens
actually, i'm using absorb which works nicely the 10 seconds it lasts. then you have depleted your force. and then they just use drain from keeping you deploying another absorb. the drain-using opponent aren't stupid either. they just wait for the absorb to finish, so in the end i have gotten nowhere. and by the way, i doon't know why but i like playing with the light side of the force no matter if i use the force or not. Guest HertogJan
AND WHAT IF YOU DONT WANT TO USE DEFENSIVE FORCE POWERS??? Damn I can't believe that NO ONE thinks about this when posting "you shouldn't whine!"...
