Rogerwilco2002 Posted April 26, 2002 Author Posted April 26, 2002 do you think they find more money in the sequel?
HBK Posted April 26, 2002 Posted April 26, 2002 I think so. On E! (not that this is the final word on anything) yesterday or this morning they ranked the top 20 comedies. While Spaceballs wasn't on the list (a glaring omission in my eyes) it was ranked as the #1 spoof of all time. HBK
shidobu Posted April 26, 2002 Posted April 26, 2002 man, spaceballs was SUCH a classic. I doubt there's anyone here who DOESN'T like spaceballs. ::waits for someone to prove him wrong::
Keyan Farlander Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 My favorite comedy of all time, followed closely by Three Amigos. I have both DVDs, and I only have nine DVDs, so you know it must like those a lot! One thing, though. Everyone remembers the "major asshole" scene, right? There is another version that is usually shown when the movie airs on TV, where all the "assholes" are changed to "morons." Does anyone else think the "moron" version is better? The timing seems to be smarter and the overall execution just seems better. Opinions?
OE PizzaTheHutt Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 I love Spaceballs! Just look at my name, signature, and icon hehe.
CupO'Coffee Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 "we're not just doing this for money" baf looks at him "we're doing it for a sh!tload of money!" that's one of my favs (every other good one has been quoted already)

Rogerwilco2002 Posted April 29, 2002 Author Posted April 29, 2002 glad to see that there isn't anybody out there that didn't enjoy it
Darth Seph Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 "You went over my Helmet!?!" "Well it wasent over it.......more to the side" <puts ring on> "no no no.......ah s**t" "OoooooowwwwwwwwwwwW"

It isn't a scene from Spaceballs but is still from an excellent movie....The Princess Bride. I also own it on DVD. "Life is pain your highness, anyone who says otherwise is selling something." hehe love that movie
Ham Yoyo Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 It also has the late great Andre the Giant in it.
CupO'Coffee Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 i know it's OT since this is a spaceball topic, but what is this film about anyway?
Darth Seph Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 Planet Spaceball is a planet running out of air. So the president of planet spaceball sends Dark Helmet and Colonel Sanderz to capture Planet Druidia. Seeing as the planet has 10,000 years of air supply. However the planet has a shield round it , soooo the plan is the King of Druidia daughter is to be married one day. But she backs out and gets in a space ship and flies away to clear her head. Dark Helmet and Colonel Sanderz plan to capture the princess in space and hold her at ransom to the King. The Princess will not be hurt, if the King tells Dark Helmet the code to open the shield , he will give the princess back. And Spaceballs will take over the planet Druidia. However the King hires LoneStar and Barf to track down and rescue the princess and save Druidia..............................................................
CupO'Coffee Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 i think you got me wrong, o sith lord if you look above, you'll notice that the last 3 or 4 posts weren't spaceballs, but princess bride related, and since i don't know the film (yet! hahaha!) i asked what it is about
