Xeph Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 Anyone have any idea how to make falling snow or rain? Quake 3 Enhancements Usage.doc says something about it but I don't know anything about shaders and can't really understand most of that document.
Omikron Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 If i'm correct I think that you RIGHT-CLICK and then select FX and there will be rain and snow which you can choose.

BlackDragon Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 To learn more about shaders, check out the resource guide and follow the link to the Q3 Shader manual. It should tell you all you need to know. Then go to some shader tutorials and put it into practice. They're very handy and very effective if used well.
Phantomas Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 that rain/snow fx effect dont work how it was setup in the entity.def i´m sure. I tried it several times exactly how they did it in yavin_swamp map and nuttin...I tried it in SP....! I´ll give it another try tough and tell my results soon
