One more SW question.

I was watching ESB earlier today and remembered a question I had when I first saw Ep 1. In ESB, Obiwan says that Yoda was the jedi who instructed him. This is backed up when he uses himslef as an example when trying to convince Yoda to train Luke. So my question is, where does Qui-gon fit in?

According to Ep 1, Quigon was Obiwan's instructor the whole time. And we assume that Obiwan completes the trials and becomes the master for Anakin. So at what point does Yoda train Obiwan?

Any ideas out there?

Well, Yoda trained groups of young Jedi and Obi Wan didn't become Qui Gon's padawan Learner until the age of about 12 so I always assumed that Yoda was instructed him when he was young and that maybe he also talked with him a lot throughout his later years. "before the fall of the republic"

Just my guesses... :rhett:

Thats true. Qui-Gon refused to train him when he was a kid because Qui-Gon had lost a student (Xanatos) to the dark side and didnt' want to train more, but at last the jedi convinced him and started to train Obi-Wan when he was 12-13 years old.
