Who owns their own lightsaber? *SPOILERS*

I just picked up a brand new, episode II lightsaber. Anakin, of course. The Count Dooku one seemed strange with the curved handle. Anyone else a total geek?

Oh, by the way, the humming sound from the saber is nothing like I expected. I was expecting a sound at least somewhat similar to what you hear in JK II. Instead, it's pretty crappy. Maybe I have a bad one or something, but it sounds pretty awful. Still, I look pretty intimidating when I walk around the mall with it while wearing my Jedi robes. I still can't get the Jedi mind trick to work on the cute girl working at the Gap though......

Breakin': hehe, yes. I too have my own Lightsaber from the little instructor Yoda toy. But I removed the silly extendo blade, and it looks pretty cool! I've seen someone around here before who made their own lightsaber with parts and junk they could find. Anyway, maybe they'll stop by here and give us the pic, it's awsome!

I'm 24 and have like 4 lightsabers, hehe. I have the Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan lightsabers that lit up but the blade went all the way inside the hilt. The electric Qui-Gon lightsaber that the blade is sticking out. Then the other day I bought a basic lightsaber which I think are too short and fat.

I was just wondering why the *spoilers* was tacked onto my title. Was it because I mentioned Count Dooku's lightsaber? If it is, that's odd since anyone can see that by going to their local Toys R' Us, Walmart, etc. The action figures are the same way. I wasn't aware it was a secret.

That's the only "spoiler" I can think of.

Here's what I did for Holloween last year:

Made a really good whole Jedi outfit. (The cloak used a lot of material, but it almost touched the ground and hung down half covering my hands. This made all the difference from a store bought one.) Bought one of the lighted blade sabers I found on-line. (Not the Park sabers, the handle didn't look quite that good, but it has a neon, or actually Krypton green blade, which is much brighter than the "indeglow" watch look of the Park sabers) I painted the handle up really nice, and put the sound module from the real toy into the handle. It was a great constume, but now comes the REALLY great part.

I friend of mine didn't have a costume, so we made him a t-shirt that said "Force Flunky". We made up a bunch of hand signals/jedi gestures, and for the whole party, with the simple wave of my hand, he would fly backwards as far as he could throw himself, or grab his thoat as his slowly raised up on his tip-toes! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! At least for me! :) Actually he enjoyed it too because he's the want-to-be actor type. I HIGHLY recommend this as it's the closest your ever gonna get to being an actual Jedi. IT's also a real crowd pleaser. I just personally wouldn't do it in a year that a Star Wars movie comes out because it just seems to predictable to me. But next year, I'm gonna do it again!

Holy geez!!! Those Park Sabers are awesome. I wish I could afford one... :(

But I have been working on my own lightsaber. So far, I've built the main structure of the hilt, and I MAY add on a coloured blade. I used a a piece of wood and a small plastic pink tube glued together, and the wood was just a chunk of a tree branch. I plan to paint over the plastic, but I will leave the majority of the wood untouched, because... I just think the idea of an "organic" saber would be cool. the wood itself is only about 10cm long and 2.5cm in width. I'm gonna add a few gadgets, switches, and little tubes to the metal part to make it more detailed, and... ah nevermind. I'll just post a few pics when it's done! :)

Btw Beefshank... that's a cool idea! I'm gonna try that at Hallowe'en, if I can round up a few voluntary "victims" of my amazing Force abilities.

Hehe... I doubt I can make ya one. But It's pretty easy to do-it-yourself. Just take a few anonymous objects, preferably circular, and glue them together. They should be about 2cm in circumference, but they don't have to be exact or anything. Spray-paint them a metallic colour, add an igniter button, and customize any way u like.

I am planning to add a battery mechanism and a fluorescent light bulb to mine, so it can have a blade too.

Btw, yes, I am quite the Jedi... :D This may sound far-fetched, but I can distract someone in a Jedi fashion. I concentrate, wave my hand in their general direction, and (it's happened 3 out of the 4 times I've tried it) they say something like "huh?" and look in another direction. It's pretty cool... and weird. I don't know how it happened...
