Morse2020
I am having trouble creating a server for JK2 , its not a dedicated i just want to make a server so i can have saber fights with my m8, i want to host it on my pc so i can paly in the server i have created. The problem i am having is whenever i create teh server my friend cant see it using jedi knight ingame multiplayer browser, or even gamespy. is there anyway i can make a server that other players can see, or is there anyway you can connect to an ip of the server like in half life. i know if you type showip, you can get teh ip of the server i am running but does anyone know the command to connect to the server running that ip ?? thanks Morse
MatrixCPA
The reason your server doesn't show up in the list is because it's not dedicated. As far as having your mate connect, once you know your ip, just let him know what it is and he can drop down the console (shift `) and type: /connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx You probably won't need the port because the default (28070) is most likely being used. Just replace the x's with your ip. If you're on a different port just add :port# at the end of the string--replacing the port# part with the actual number.
