Kiell_Randor
I made my first skin using photoshop, and saved all the files. However, when I went to view it using the ModelViewer in the tools pack release, it comes up with an error to the effect that some required information was not saved on compiling or some such, and all the jpegs I edited won't load, but the ones I left alone are fine. Anyone have any ideas?
sights0d
Did you change the name at all? Also, make sure that the extensions are still jpegs. I would forget about looking at the skins in the viewer at first, compile them into the .pk3 file and see if it works ingame.
JediMouse
I don't know if this'll help you, but I'll just put it out there... I don't have any advanced tools. I convert the .jpg's into bitmaps and edit them with Paintbrush, then convert them back. I had trouble at first, because they wouldn't display. My problem turned out to be the density of the images. The bitmaps had saved at 38 pixels per centimetre, and the game uses 118. So I just converted that factor too, then saved as .jpg, and now I have no trouble. ~JediMouse~
