sights0d Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 Everytime I try to use the bsp_FullVis command in Radient it opens sof2 which crashes and doesn't finish what it's supposed to do! I'm a newbie and it REALLY CHAPS MY HIDE!!! Is anyone else experiencing this?
sights0d Posted April 27, 2002 Author Posted April 27, 2002 I keep getting this message: C:\My Documents>C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\qe3bsp.bat > C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\junk.txt C:\My Documents>C:\PROGRA~1\LUCASA~1\STARWA~1\GAMEDATA\TOOLS\\sof2map -bsp C: OGRA~1\LUCASA~1\STARWA~1\GAMEDATA\\base/maps/test.map SoF2Map v1.0c © 2000 Raven Software Inc. ---- BSP ---- C:\My Documents> C:\PROGRA~1\LUCASA~1\STARWA~1\GAMEDATA\TOOLS\\sof2map -vis C ROGRA~1\LUCASA~1\STARWA~1\GAMEDATA\\base/maps/test.map SoF2Map v1.0c © 2000 Raven Software Inc. ---- Vis ---- C:\My Documents> C:\PROGRA~1\LUCASA~1\STARWA~1\GAMEDATA\TOOLS\\sof2map -light \PROGRA~1\LUCASA~1\STARWA~1\GAMEDATA\\base/maps/test.map SoF2Map v1.0c © 2000 Raven Software Inc. ----- Lighting ---- SetQdirFromPath: no 'base' in l_°+i_+4¦+ü)__+__+ü¦_+ü+_+ü__g-Éön+ Any help?
Dross Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 Take your config file and /saves directory and back them up. (and whatever else). Uninstall and reinstall the game into this directory: C:/program files/lucasarts/SWJK2 When you unzip your tools, use this same directory, but with gamedata. C:/program files/lucasarts/SWJK2/gamedata This, in theory should fix your problems.
Dross Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 I also read on a post to rename your map from something other than test.bsp. This sounds hokey, but try it before you try anything else.
Daexiar Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 I had the same problem before, but solved it. Make sure you have saved the map into gamedata/base folder, then bsb it
JumboMonkeyfish Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 I was having this problem, but then i figured out that sof2 was looking for my maps in a different folder from where i saved them.... so make sure ur maps are all saved into gamedata/base/maps before you compile them.
