Mojo Voodoo Dol
Does anyone know what "r_smp" does? I enter it into the console and it tells me that it's read-only. What does this command do, and what happens if I can activate it? Anybody know? Just curious. Thanks.
Ignodium
smp, sounds like it toggles using multiple cpu's
LooNBB
which is NOT a supported feature of the Quake3 Engine
Mertado
r_smp = renderer_symmetricmultiprocessing. Or multiple CPU's. Quake 3 engine games do support it (why else would the cvar be in the list??), just not very well. Not very well at all. You are better off leaving that one alone.
