CobatH
Hey peeps Now i've been playing multiplayer since April 1st and for some reason i'm getting my ass kicked when i have full health and shields and the other guys got hardly anything left! i mean i'm hitting them with full strength and still they don't die! i mean the blade goes right through the players and nothing happens, and then they just kill me! my lightsabers having no affect sometimes! Is there any way of solving my problems, without people just telling me to stop being **** and stop playing? Danka CobatH
Darthtoast
Are you using the Light lightsaber style? (Blue) That one really doesn't do too much damage, if you wanna do more use medium (press L so that the half ring on the bottom right is yellow) and if you wanna do a LOT of damage, use Heavy (heavy is red, downside is you can't attack as fast)
Ten Tigers
Well first of all it really depends on what kind of games you play. If we are talking Free For All, join the club. "Saberers" have to work twice as hard as "Gun Runners". Swinging your lightsaber lowers your defences. If someone is unloading a repeater at point blank, you might want to wait before trying to hack on him. Id switch to blue style till he got the point. Force powers have a big say in this too. If you are whacking at someone who is just healing over and over again, you will need to learn the pro's and con's of the various force powers, and decide the best way to counter what they are doing. The other day I was fighting someone, and used FOUR FULL GRIPS on him. Why was he still alive? He kept healing. But I was to blame. I should have realized what was happening and drain/gripped him. Just keep practicing and above all, make sure you learn from your mistakes, and dont lose those valuable lessons to anger.
ArmchairAthlete
5 Things to do for Mad Kills: Red (Heavy) Saber stance is the only one you need. #1 Horizontal red stance slash #2 Horizontal leap attack (DFA) #3 Grip em and dump em in a pit (or push/pull depends on situation) #4 Grab the nearest Golan Arms Flechette or Heavy Repeater and go postal, don't forget your secondary fire here. #5 Spam Force Lightning into mobs of people. And Drain when you need HP, or when you just don't want your enemy to have any force power left.
Luc Solar
There seems to be a solid strategy for every level. In Nar Shaddaa it's not really about who hits who, it's about who throws who down the void. Force Push and Grip are the weapons needed to survive. Unfortunately it seems that every time you *think* you are having a cool duel with someone, you get gripped and tossed over the edge. In Nar Shaddaa nice guys always finish last. (Unless Everyone is a nice guy, of course ) Guns = frags. The one with the most frags is the one who uses f.ex the alt fire of the Flechete and runs around wildly shooting in every possible direction. I guess the only way to enjoy the game is to play the way others play on that server or get the hell out of there. Bowing just to get pushed over the edge or walking with your saber off when someone hunks thermal detonators at you is cool and all, but it gets annoying. NewBJedi
Of all the things you can learn, run up to people and kick them over - run and hit jump as soon as you are near the person. That single method - mastered - can help you in about 95% of most situations.
Thanatos
Hi, another thing that could prevent you from hitting the other guy might be the ping. If you directly hit someone and have a ping above 150 (just guessing the number) you'll miss, you gotta hit where he will be in a few milisecs
princessliar
Kicking butt in Jedi Master is pretty easy. Once you get your mitts on the saber just lure everyone else out into a large open area, jump around like a maniac and watch your points soar as they accidentally frag each other trying to hit you. It require zero skill - excellent.

princessliar
Originally posted by Darthtoast If they kill each other, how do YOUR points soar? In Jedi Master, you have to try and kill the one player with the lightsaber and get it for yourself. Once you do, you get a point for any kills, whether it's you sabering people or the others being clumsy and killing each other.

If you're good enough, you don't need those (cheap ) tactics
RedHerring
In Nar Shadaa, like the man said, use absorb if your gripped. They usually don't have enough time to fling you over if you have absorb hot-keyed. It's push/pull that you have to look out for.
Darth Seph
A diagonal attack helps me all the time. Try forward + left (or right) + attack. Make your character look down as well instead of looking at eye level at your opponent. Bcoz the lighsaber is now horizontal instead of vertical and you can get a few good cheap shots in, without attacking , just let your foe walk into the saber. But the diagonal attack is a very good attack try it out mate , it SHOULD help you out.
