Bungalow
In my opinion, and I'm not the only one, C3PO seems a little feminine, not straight (not that robots can be classified into sex but you know what I mean) What purpose did Anakin have in building c3PO? Hobby? Friend? Other??? Just a question to think about
Fettish
Actually, its a question I'd rather not think about.

CBrate
Threepio is a protocol droid all about facilitating interspecies communication whether it be simple translation or explanations of local custom and ritual. Manners are all a part of it. George Lucas actually mentions that he was based on an English butler. Pffft! Kids these days know nothing!
pantha-too-kay
Did anyone else laugh themselves to a mushy pulp when they saw the episode of The Simpsons where there is a tag wrestling match between: "The Cylons from Battlestar Galactica and the gay robots from Star Wars" ? I nearly died laughing

Prince Legolas
I've never thought of C3PO being gay. Chewbacca on the other hand has been seen to be overly affectionate to Han... A secret crush on Han perhaps? I've heard Chewie has a wife or something like that, but that is probably a cover for his secret homosexuality. engineerdude
I think Anakin built c3po to be the first stand-up comedian droid...."Who's trash can is that? That was no trash can, that was my droid....but seriously folks, Hey I'm here all week."

Lord_FinnSon
I guess some people really think C-3PO is gay, because there's this guy(Anthony Daniels) providing voice for him and he also happens to be British. Well, what if C-3PO was a female(in the end this is really stupid, because droids don't have gender)? Would you then call her bitch perhaps? Do me a favor. Lucas based both C-3PO and R2-D2 to two peasant farmers from Akira Kurosawa's "The Hidden Fortress", so checking out that movie might widen up your view a little bit. And does being British make one gay? Or is this some American joke of views of the British which no-one else would understand? KPeh Edit: I'm not trying to start a flame war! I'd just like to hear sterotypical views of the British by Americans

C3-P0's accent, called 'Received Pronounciation' is so wonderly British that, uh, none of us actually use it. Give or take a few rich W*nkers that live in London penthouses and country estates. Lord_FinnSon
And does being British make one gay? Or is this some American joke of views of the British which no-one else would understand? That's only something I have noticed as an outsider while watching all those idiotic American comedy series. Most of the time though, Brits are viewed as being arrogant bastards. I could also go into that recycled "joke" that French people stink and don't wash themselves, but that doesn't exactly belong to under this topic... Still, weird kind of humor you got there.
