Jafo Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 Just updated the site with the documents for putting bots in your map and map editing with GTKradiant. THis should be good news for some. You can find them atJedi Kngiht 2 Editing.
VEGETA2K1 Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 does this mean we can use gtkradiant instead of jkradiant?
Jedi Howell Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 for everything that so far only JK2R has been able do to?

Jafo Posted April 29, 2002 Author Posted April 29, 2002 sof2map is still a part of the equation...a nessesary evil. But I think the best part is not crashing on patch bends.. multiple brush face selection etc.
Gizmo2k Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 Thanks for getting the info on the waypoint system jafo ive used this type of systembefore while editing unreal and it can work very well when done corectly keep up the great work dude
chrispcarter Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 Yup, I will have to check out the waypoint mode, still, integration into JK2R would be better... next tool update maybe

I've never seen one other than James Monroe released a second version the next day because of a typo in the intities path, I would expect this will be the only release and they would never move the bot system to the editor.
brigand1138 Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 It needs Q3 to be installed to run!! Which I don't own, so I'm stuck with JKIIR!
brigand1138 Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 I think I've got it sorted now actually!! All the textures are now loadable!! I used Rap7ors method!! note - this is actually posted at 11.40pm, not the time on the left!
brigand1138 Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 Well after all that, I found GTK 1.1.1 to be....quite pants! Does work with the latest version of GTK???

You shouldn't need it installed in either instance evils or raps just a dirctory called quake III. But raps "only" works with 1.1.1 I tried all night to get it too work with 1.2.1 or 1.2.6 but no luck.

I find it usually makes life so much less depressing. Heheh.
brigand1138 Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 And when I e-mailed changkhan about botroutes he said they would release the docs on how to get bots working when they were working on the second release of the tools, so yes they ARE gonna do a second release, and by the sounds of it maybe they are working on it now, now that the botroute document has been released!
Jafo Posted April 30, 2002 Author Posted April 30, 2002 They may have future releases but I don't think it will be to update the editor.
brigand1138 Posted May 1, 2002 Posted May 1, 2002 I installed GTK 1.2.6 (after installing 1.2.1) and when I try to get it to work after copying the assets pkx's GTK just crashes!!
Imran Posted May 5, 2002 Posted May 5, 2002 i reccomend using GTK 1.2.1 and then using UGG's patch that does all the Nasty work for you, you can find it at http://www.massassi.net
