Pb Importing .xsi in max

Hi all,

I have problem in importing or esporting xsi files in max4

When I import kyle.xsi, the bones are not weight (I check the point weight box), and the bones of the legs are 90° rotated with the legs.

I make a model of dengar, I export it in root.xsi and when I compilated with carcass I obtained :

or when I check every box of the export window :

Can anybody help me, because I lost 2 nights for that pb and I can't resolve it

ok, I'm not going to read that error msg.

Did you segement your model correctly? move the tags into the appropraite places and then link them to create the hierarchy? Then as I'm sure you know you need to weight all the vertices (including the tags - but dont quote me on this) to the bones.

 

Once thats done, export it as a xsi. put it in a folder with your humanoid.gla Then open carcass - add the humanoid.gla- build it - save the car file as model.car

If all has gone well then you should have your model built.

I don't have time right now, but i'll send u a pic of the model and can put a link for it because I don't know how to post a pic. I mixed the kyle and stormtrooper xsi file.

I have at least two question, if I textured him in max, does carcass convert the texture and the model have 3404 polygone

Is this too much?
