DoA Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 ok i run a dumb little linux ded server for me and my friends.. i have downloaded a saber .pk3 and a few skins and put them in the servers base folder. is there a command or something i have to use to get clients to download these pk3 files so they can see the saber model and skins?
MatrixCPA Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 Even with the server set to sv_allowDownload "1" and the clients set to cl_allowDownload "1", skins and other models are not downloaded automatically--only maps are. Your friends need to download the skins/models for themselves. The only way to get them to download from the server that way would be to include the skins/models in a custom map. It's far easier to just point them where to go to get them.
