vodoo 3 wicked gl ?

I know that vodoo 3/4/5 are not supported in this game.,,,wich seems pretty stupid since all other recent games i bought do support them.

 

Anyway,,i've got really slow loading time and basicelly the load and save option of the game doesnt work correctly. I read some of the other post and saw some people talk about the wicked gl drivers . What are they ? can they solve my problem ? where can i get them ?

 

I would realy apreciate any advice you could give me. (excuse my bad english,,i'm french)

Well , a lot of people (some with much better cards then u have )are experiencing slow loading times too and I don't think your load/save problems are related to the graphics card.

Wickedgl is an opengl driver for Voodoo cards. It improves performance and graphicsquality . You can get it here http://www.wicked3d.com/technology/wickedgl.htm

The driver doesn't support Jedi Outcast yet so u have to apply a little trick before u install the driver. Go to the GameData directory , look for jk2sp.exe and rename it to Quake3.exe .

Now install the driver. Select "Quake3" and "Install WickedGL regular version". Change Quake3.exe back to jk2sp.exe .

Since i applied the wicked gl to the .exe everything is running perfectly. My loading time is now of about 30 seconds instead of 5 minuts. The fast load and fast save are actually working pretty good.
