Windu
I create a server and no one is able to see it....why? When I create one my brother looks for the server, but isn't able to see it. I leave it up for a couple of hours and no one ever joins. My brother has the same problem, he created a server and I couldnt see it. So we both don't know what we are doing wrong. PsiSilverthorn
There needs to be some sort of FAQ about this...Or better yet...LucasArts should have this listed in THEIR FAQ since they and Raven are responsible for this. Now to your answer: LucasArts Tech Support says that non-dedicated servers will not show up on the server list because it is not supposed to. They only wanted the list to show dedicated servers so the listen servers (the non-dedicated ones) do not broadcast their pressence on the Internet. There is no fix, so there is no sense looking for one. The fix can only come from LucasArts and Raven in a patch so I suggest you e-mail them and tell them why you think it should be enabled. In the meantime the only way for others to join your server is by entering your IP in a favorites entry or by using the console connect command with your IP. Windu
I tried hosting a dedicated server and the same thing happened, no one was able to see it. Do I need to do something after I hit "Begin"??? Or maybe change a setting??? I'm just lost ........

Or maybe change a setting??? I'm just lost ........ Creating servers was already a problem with Elite Force (same engine, same developer ) . Sometimes servers didn't show up , sometimes only in the in game browser but not in gamespy and vice versa ,sometimes it took a while for them to show up. I also noticed that gamespy/the ingame browser show much less servers then The All Seeing Eye . At the moment gamespy shows 630 servers while The All Seeing Eye shows 896 servers. So gamespy must be missing a lot of servers. Because of that I recommend using the eye. You can get it here http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/ There needs to be some sort of FAQ about this...Or better yet...LucasArts should have this listed in THEIR FAQ since they and Raven are responsible for this. It also works for ef. 1. Create a dedicated server (internet) . That will drop you back to desktop. 2. Start another mp game and click on join OR start gamespy or whatever. 3. Look for the server you created with your ingame browser or with gamespy etc. Sort servers by ping so you can easily find yours. 4. Join your own server. I don't know how good this will work on your computer but I didn't experience major performance problems so far.

Windu
I have tried to create a dedicated server, but it doesn't show up either on the in-game browser or gamespy. I just don't know what is happening. I do understand there is a problem with the engine, but why is it I don't see the server all the time?
