alright..i have my .bak, .bsp, .lin, and .map files....should i put all four files into a zip file..? if so, do i need to change the .zip file into a .pk3 file?? how would i go by doing that??? after all that, how would i go by testing it in the game...???? thanks for the help :)

to change .zip to .pk3 all you have to do is rename it to blahblah.pk3. quite simple.

and to test it load up the multiplayer

hold shift and press ~ button the type map blahblah(whatever its called

alright..i put all four files into the map located from

 

' C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\base\maps '

 

and did that ' shift + ~ ' and typed /map 'nameofmap' and said it couldn't find the .bsp file..which is odd because its there..

If you didn't make your map into a .pk3 file yet then you need to type "sv_pure 0" into the console before you type "map mapname". This should will will allow you to open your maps .bsp file instead of it having to be in the .pk3 format and you should only need to do this once. I'm not exactly sure what the command is but if later on you want to change it back to normal just type "sv_pure 1" I think.
