Killgasm
OK...I don't want a dedicated server. I just want to set up a game and let my co-workers join. Every time I set up a server, it is only local. I cannot find where to change this. Are other people able to IP in anyway? My server is never listed on the server list unless I make it a dedicated server. I am on cable and have removed my router for the time being. I know there has to be an easy way to do this. I am missing something. Any help would be appreciated. =)
TheAphextwin
Jedi Runner allows you, among other things, to create a Listen server, you play and host at the same time. The program is in the beta testing phase. If you are interested in helping feel free to mail me direct at Aphextwin@gameadmins.com and I will sort you out. MatrixCPA
As long as the server is running correctly, people can always join by ip even if it's not listed in the master list.
Killgasm
Kool! Even if the info in game says server type is Local?
MatrixCPA
Yep, that's all it takes. Now, if people can't join by ip, then something else is wrong--probably firewall related.
Killgasm
Great, thanx for the replies. If they can't join, it is THEM. My firewall is down. =) That's OK. We all work for an ISP. They can figure it out. =)
