How do i get rid of this hitch warning

Every time i try to load my server up "i am just starting to make it"

It tells me i am getting a hitch warning and i would really love to run a server i have 15 friends who have this game and i have the best comp and am the only one who can keep there comp on all night and not catch problems from my girlfriend hehe

if anyone can help me fix this problem i would greatly apreciate it thanks in advance

The hitch warning is nothing to worry about.

 

Type status into the console and it will tell you the map that's running and any players that are connected. If, however, you get the messege server not running then you can start to worry.

well as you said now i am starting to worrie when i type in status it tells me my server is not running now what do i need to do? \

this is all becoming a large pain but hopefuly it will be well worth it

When it says "server not running" it means a map was not called in your config. At a minimum you need to set g_autoMapCycle "1" and end your config with a map command similar to the following:

 

map ffa_bespin

 

Of course, what map you call will depend on what gametype you are running (duel/ffa/ctf). If you want help with your setup, it helps to include your command line/startup script and your server.cfg--or whatever cgf you use.
