McCloud Posted May 8, 2002 Posted May 8, 2002 I had this topic in the last 2 threads I posted but i still don't know how to make a walkthroug wall so this thread is may last attemt. It needs to blend in with the rest of the wall. Please give me step by step. If you can't expain it to me than make one in a map and send it to me so I can figure out how to do it. Thanx.
Garland Posted May 8, 2002 Posted May 8, 2002 Have you tried making a shader where the texture would act like water? I havn't tested it, but I am going to attempt it in one of my next maps. Make for good secret hiding. ^^ But yeah, if it acts like water, you could walk through it. Or just make sure it gets lightmapped. -Garland
Cmdr. Antilles Posted May 8, 2002 Posted May 8, 2002 Make the brush that will be the non-solid wall. Then, give it the system/nodraw texture. Now, only texture ONE face with your wall texture. It might work with two, but I'm not sure. This is the easy way to do it, avoiding making a new shader w/ the 'nonsolid' surfaceparm.
