The classic Sith... before Exar Kun died. The classic Sith used a form of magic that could augment the Force; they could bind their souls to objects in the land of the living to escape annihilation; they used alchemy to mutate their followers into super-powered monsters and that commanded one of the most dangerous races in the known universe.

I like the Sith alot more. I'm always rooting for the side that is the supposed 'anarchists'. Not to mention Sith live without the fear of death (unless you think of Yoda's funky line) and their order has more discipline. When was that last time you saw a Sith stand up to it's master? Wait a minute....Vader :vadar: did but then he showed up his master bad style (hint: a crispy emperor :emperor: ) All in all when I play I use Dark powers mainly for drain or dark rage. Also can someone point out a time in Star Wars when Good beats Evil using the light side of the force?

1. Darth Vader doesn't battle luke to the end, he dies honourably taking off his mask and is blown up from the death star boom-o

2. Obi-Wan gets pissed about the death of his master and uses his rage or revenge to fuel his fight against Maul :maul:

3. Emperor (dark) gets tossed into the crisp-o-matic by Vader (semi-dark at that point)

On the contrary, the Dark Siders acheive great power and strength fast, but since their lives are controlled by their anger, pride, greed and fear, they will never know peace, and in the end, will die a lonely, miserable death. What is attained quickly will be lost quickly.

The Jedi have a long, austere road to travel, but in the end they acheive true unity with the Force.

sith rock! they fight with emotion and anger (unlike the jedi). i view the jedi as emotionless robots who are so strict that they cant even show any emotion. go sith you guys kick ass :lsduel::slsaber::duel:

But...if they kick Jedi's ass...why do they always wind up losing?...

Uh teacher teacher I got a question. How is being a Jedi good after many years of strict discipline and emotionless obidience pay off? Hmm, Obi got sliced in half...Yoda died in a swamp and Qui got his belly button peirced....... I don't see light can ya help?

Not your fault I'm just tired probably. Basically if I choose say the 'dont give a rats ---' one but did so because I personally felt that way would I have to tell anyone? i think people who said that would be pestered with questions until their opinions were forcefully (no pun) changed.

Probably true, though coming into debate iwth an open mind, and allowing your opinion to be changed if someone has a good point is always a good idea, I think :)

thats not true many sith have killed jedi and many jedi have killed sith what im trying to say is that if there was a jedi who could fight with anger and emotion but was not evil he would take out any sith or any jedi that would be cool:wstupid:

Good point, flexible opinions are always very good. It really depends on someones view on how important this is. A kid at my school was pestered for 3 weeks about the 'flaws' in his religion and he couldnt handle it anymore. He personally believed his religion suited him best and that he didnt need to change. After all that time without a happy lunch hour or a good uninterrupted class he did something I completely disagree with but in the end see it as his only escape. He switched religions and this caused a massive uproar in his house. Because of peer pressure from others not willing to believe that someone else has a credible opinion he now goes to church with his parents 1 hour a day and he's in 'Family Therapy'. Nice kids aren't they?

Anyways I dont know where that story came from but whatever, if you have an opinion thats challenged...stand up for it! If you dont want to fight about your opinion then wait and let it slide...

It's true that you should stand up for what you believe in, but in the case you described I think your friend did the right thing (although it sounds like he went about it in the wrong way). A lot of times the only reason we believe in a religion is because our parents told us to, and it makes sense to me for someone to challenge that.

I have very little respect for people who never challenge their own beliefs, I think its a very important thing to do (well little respect on that topic :))

I was raised a Catholic, went to Catholic school and all that, and when I got out I started exploring other religions, Hindu, Islamic and all that good stuff, and I never really found one that matched me. You could call me a spiritualist, because I believe that there is more to life than what we see, and there is so much order wrapped up in so much chaos that it seems like there may be some design to it all. What that is I don't pretend to know, nor do I know how people fit in.
