But then I saw the little text on the CD 'does not play on PC/MAC' AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH I don't have a CD-player. I play ALL my CD's with my CD-rom player. Now I'm forced to find a bootleg ... wich I normally don't do. Sony ... I aint finished with you yet! :swear:
Paragon_Leon Posted May 10, 2002 Posted May 10, 2002 There's a debate going on about that now... just wait until some guys win their lawsuit over the Celine Dion-cd, which is protected in the same way; then Sony will be forced to make them all playable on pc again.
Young David Posted May 11, 2002 Author Posted May 11, 2002 I did something different I discovered that the US version does not have this problem. So I went to amazon.com and ordered it there. Discovered they had an extra discount when you bought the ep2 novel too I was already planning to buy that. Including the 10 dollar shipping (across the ocean), I'm off cheaper then buying both products here in the Netherlands. But still ... what Sony does with audio CD's here in Europe sucks.
Paragon_Leon Posted May 11, 2002 Posted May 11, 2002 What they're doing now is driving consumers overseas. They'll realise that in a month or so and then quickly try to get the same protection there...which fails...and then the whole thing will be removed.
idiot00001 Posted May 11, 2002 Posted May 11, 2002 They have tried that here on a few CDs but most can still play on computers. Also that encryption has already been broken into, so it ends up hurting is the consumer.
