Full Throttle 2?

Recommended Posts

Why does everyone assume this is a sequel?

If Full Throttle is announced, it'll probably just be a port of the original (with spruced up graphics) to a next-gen console. LEC own the rights to the original game, so the port could be done 100% in-house with no input from the original dev team.

Also last year LEC had an E3 teaser page, but even more games were announced at E3 that did not appear on the teaser (KOTOR in particular).

Mmmm, I see your point jp-30 and I had never taught of this possibility before but there one thing that doesn't quite "fit in the frame". Lucas Arts has never re-made one of their games.

But you also have on the other hand the fact that making a sequel to such an old game seems like a lot of work: Finding the old voice cast, trying to find the old music band, finding someone who can surpase the abilities of Tim etc.

So a re-birth of the orginial seems kind of more likely but to tell you the truth, I would like much more to see a sequel...

Didn't they announce an Indy Infernal port for a next-gen console last E3, quite some time after the original PC version was produced.

And they've ported MI4 to console.

I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that LEC may test console adventure gaming potential further, not by producing a whole new game, but by porting (and sprucing up) an existing one.

It makes economic sense.

I don't think that's a good comparision. How many years passed between indy infernal was released first and the port was announced?

FT was released around 1995 I think.

anyway, the last game on that page wil be either SWG or the WWII sim being developed by totally games.
