Im all for "frozen stance" backstabs, BUT...

The speed needs to be greatly increased or you will be left with an all but worthless move. It wont help with pull/sweepers, but it will help reduce assfighers. Because now you wont be able to make cheap adjustments to artificialy bypass a persons defences, hit them multiple times with the same backstab (will affect pull/sweepers), or spam it into a group of people.

 

But the speed of execution needs to be upped for that not to devalue the overall usefullness of the backswing/stab. BAM, the move goes off lickety split, and if you are not defensive you will be dealt a strait amount of damage depending on whether it was a solid hit or if it was just by the tip of the saber. But if you are anticipating said attack you can stop moving/attacking/forcing so you can block said attack and take advantage of the recovery time.

 

And on that note, the recovery time is dictated by the style. Blue does the least damage but has a very high recovery time, Red does the most damage but has the worst recovery time. And of course yellow is in the middle.

 

I feel you should still be able to move during the recovery as it is not like you are recovering from a jump attack like DFA, but you should not be able to attack, defend, or use force powers other than jump.
