This game will die if folks don't support mappers... and get mappers excited about making (quality) maps. What new maps do people like? Where are the HUGE OUTDOOR CTF MAPS??????? geronimo27 Posted May 13, 2002 Share Posted May 13, 2002 I run a 20 player CTF server, and a couple of days last week I added two of the new CTF maps to the map rotation. I turned downloads on, and I put the files on my website to make it easy for people to install. What I found is that the population of my server dropped to about nothing. I suspect it is because some people just want to play, and don't feel like waiting to dl the map from the server, or don't feel like downloading and installing the new maps. So, I took the maps out of rotation and the server is back to being full again. I would love to run new maps - but it seems that not all the players dig them.
