A few requests when asking for tech support

When you ask for help, please make sure to include the following:

1. Your hardware specifications, i.e., Graphics card, Processor and Speed, Motherboard, etc. If you don't know, you can look in Windows' Device Manager and tell us what you have.

2. Your operating system. Windows 98SE will run differently from Windows XP in a lot of aspects.

3. A specific description of the problem happening. Just saying "It doesn't work" or "It crashes" won't help.

4. Look in previous threads for a solution to your problem, or checking out the support FAQs. You may find the solution in a matter of minutes as opposed to waiting hours or days for an answer.

BTW, I'm not affiliated with JK2.net or LucasArts. Just a fan looking to help out when I can.

If there's anything else I missed, by all means please add some more. Thank you.

It won't do anygood, I've posted one of these before.

Though I disagree with 4 somewhat, unless it just happens to be on the front page of something.

Good idea, Pier :)

I think the only thing you missed was driver versions - DirectX, Graphics card (e.g. nVidia Detonator), and Sound card - they can make a big difference if they're very recent releases or outdated versions.

...Any passing mods care to stickify this one? It would (hopefully) save a lot of time and effort... and space...
