No, the patch does that If you have the points to kick, then they do 20 points of damage when landed, without fail. This was pre-patch, of course. In 1.03 the kick is now harder to pull off (unless you are a script kiddie) and does slightly less damage (18 points). Supplement your kicking with sidekicks! It is an excellent tool to add to your arsenal.

Xzzy Posted May 14, 2002 Posted May 14, 2002 common belief is the two tap kick was done to avoid flipping off a wall when instead someone wanted to jump over it. ie, fixing problems that didn't need fixed.
