Guest Jed Posted May 14, 2002 Share Posted May 14, 2002 O.k i may only have a 56k modem but when i play multi player i never get a good connection in a good game, but when i do get a good connection there's either the fact that everyone starts loggin off, or there's a few players, but their either no good or the map is to big to find them. Vanor Posted May 14, 2002 Share Posted May 14, 2002 What ever you do, don't turn your rate down to 1,000. That's 1kps and you'll lag even worse. For a 56k line, set the rate to 3000, or 3kps. That's slightly less then the avg speed a 56k line gets. I did it on my PC (I run a 56k too.) and it lowered my ping by like 200ms. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
