Ben_Walker Posted May 17, 2002 Share Posted May 17, 2002 I voted for Kyle but in my opinion Kyle is more of the CHAMPION OF THE FORCE rather than the CHOSEN ONE. Heres what I mean, in Dark Forces, Kyle managed to stop the Imperial's from completing the Dark Trooper project, helped save the galaxy before hand by stealing the Death Star plans and kicking some Imperial and mercenary butt, with the odd pick up by Jan Ors. In Jedi Knight Kyle killed 6 dark Jedi [count them], shot up some mercenaries on Nar Shaddaa and sliced and diced half of the Imperial forces and stoped Jerec from stealing the Valley's power. Although I haven't played Jedi Outcast [dammed limited RAM] I know Kyle defeated Tavion, beat up most of the remant forces, destroyed a bunch of Reborns and killed Desann and most likly saved the galaxy again. As we can see Katarn has a history of saving the galaxy from dark Jedi and done all this on his own, okay not totally on his own, he got help from Jan, the Alliance and Luke. But if it weren't for Kyle, the New Republic wouldn't even exists! So Kyle should get this title....... KYLE KATARN: CHAMPION OF THE FORCE. I dunno, I'm bored too.... If you look at the initial reactions of MAce WIndu and Yoda when Qui-gon brings anakin to their attenion it is of a bad nature and the reasoning they do not wish to train him oh he's too old is that aswell. I think they were well aware that bnringing balance to the force would mean their demise. Although my perception of when the balance is equal is different than that of most. When was it perfectly balanced you say? An apprentice and their master on both sides, Yoda and Obi-wan, Sidious and Vader. And thats how it remained for a long time until Luke came into the picture. Plus if you want to extend into the Expanded Universe, Luke makes a jedi Academy and the Chu'unthor and such bringing more light jedi into the world, but where there are light jedi come dark jedi for example of Desann but he is of course not the only one.
