Others have mentioned a sizing configuration in the compiling tools... Something about setting to ".5" instead of "1" Let us know where you're at on this! Toonces Posted May 15, 2002 Share Posted May 15, 2002 I would love to see this model come to be as well, I was reading in Kinja's other thread that he had someone animating this model, if that's the case I'm sure that even I could whip up a decent skin for Yoda. Are you planing to make him a multiplayer model? It's going to be difficult to get him in there because of his hight, but I wouldnt care if he provided an advantage to somebody using him in a multiplayer game, or a bot, it would be fun, and quite an accomplishment Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm suppried (actually shocked) that nobody else has offered to do it, especially considering how immencely popular Yoda is. Hopefully you can get a few people working on it and choose the best one. Toonces Posted May 16, 2002 Share Posted May 16, 2002 Go for it Arco, I was very impressed with your re-skining of Sith's vader, I acually use both his origional skin and yours, I like a little variety in my Vader I'm still rather new to skining, I'm just learning to model, so my area of focus is in that rather than creating textures, but nobody seemed intrested in skining Kinja's awesome model (It's so good I cant understand why) so I thought I'd give it a shot. After seeing your work I'll leave it in your more than capable hands if you'd like. I'm currently working on a Dooku (sp?) model, gonna take me a few more weeks. ShodiKGian Posted May 16, 2002 Share Posted May 16, 2002 Okay, so we've all heard that Yoda would be stretched to 'normal' height in multiplayer. An Idea I had was that it might be possible to, for lack of a better term, have an invisible pole attached to yoda's head. This pole would either be surfaced out, or alpha-ed out. It would be used as a spacer to keep Yoda at the right model height. I have not gotten far enough with outputting a model (just got the tools to do it last night,) so I haven't tested the possiblity of this yet. Possible problems would be that when a surface is turned off (first method,) it no longer belongs to the model and is not used in adjusting model height. Another possible oddity would be with the hit boxes: the hit boxes might be misaligned, especially for the head. I'm sorry he's not done yet, but I've been putting Hrs in tweaking him before I pass him off to the talented Arco, who will be textureing him up. Also I think a few other cats wanna give skinning him a try aswell.
