I'd have to say TPM because it didnt follow the same format that the others did. With Jedi, A new hope and Empire Strikes Back you had continous storeline about different heroics, the Dark side with unspeakable power and most importantly...the ending to empire strikes back. Pick up my quote if you can...

"Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out vaders his father, and Hans frozen in carbonite and taken away by boba fett...it ends on such a dark note"

Thats something that I noticed wont be happening for awhile or ever in the movies. With the recent movies good always triumps over evil and the loose ends are mere threats to justice and good. After all this rambling I have to end it on a note agreed by half the board,

JARJAR RUINED TPM AND IF I EVER CAUGHT HIM ON THE STREET (which would never happen cuz hes a CGI) I'D TEAR HIM LIMB FROM LIMB

It was Jedi until Menace. But since Menace has been torn apart time and time again I'll explain why I dislike Jedi.

I couldn't believe the ending. If the Ewoks had been Wookies, I could believe what happened on the planet. But no matter what I do, I can't believe the space battle. The Death Star plus the Imperial fleet? The Rebels should've been destroyed. We're talking who knows how many ISD's, VSD's, Nebulon B's and modified Nebulon B's, corvettes and modified corvetes, plus countless TIE fighters, interceptors, bombers, gun boats, and transports against a comparatively insignifigant Rebel fleet. Even if you got rid of the ships and just left the TIE's there's no way the Rebels would've survived long enough to whack the Death Star. And when you factor in that Endor was inhabited by Ewoks, even without any support for the Death Star, the Rebels should have been dead.

Ugh...TPM mirrors ANH, and AotC will mirror ESB. The reason it had a happy ending is because it's supposed to. Watch the next one, I bet it ends a little less nicely, and EpIII will end even harsher.

Jar Jar wasn't that bad, get over him. TPM was better than ANH, and most of the people who disagree are the people who have made the original trilogy 'untouchable' in their minds.

TPM is part of a trilogy, and you can't compare it to the original trilogy, because you haven't seen the other two parts!!

i would have to say in order of least favorite to favorite

6

1

2 (going from plot in the book, which equals that of the movie)

4

5

i do disagree with whoever said that tpm was better than anh. though i did not totally hate tpm, it had numerous flaws, and it had much more awkwardness with plot and fitting under the star wars umbrella than did anh (partly because anh IS hte classification umbrella)...overall, there arent bad star wars movies so far :)

Thr reason Luke is wearing the black jump suit is because it's more practical than the uaually foppish Jedi/monk robes. He's doing away with the needless ceremony of the Jedi and getting "back to basics". The reason i think the Jedi were wiped out is because they had become too ceremonial/religious, the force (read past Jedi) saw this and wept, so they created Anikin to "wipe the slate clean", start the Jedi order again through Luke. It doesn't matter that all the Jedi are gonna die, because when they do they "become one with the force", therefore death isn't such a bad thing for the Jedi.

The reason why I said epi 2 is becase while at Wal-Mart I looked through the childrens AOTC book, I skipped through the tecnical parts and I pretty much can tell you right now, I can tell you how Pad'me knows that she wants to be killed by someone.:D

Heh time to come out of lurking...

I heard that quote on a parody song called (gasp!) "The Star Wars Song" by Limp Bizkit(ugh). Song was pretty funny though.

and its "Down note" not "Dark note":p

Time to return to lurking:jawa
