Wes Marrakesh Posted July 17, 2002 Posted July 17, 2002 BRING IN THE PENGUINS! that would be GREAT! Ok, finished beta # 2 and there is absolutley no difference in FPS. I think it is just my graphics card though very level. Now all we need are those penguins with guns + sabers...

If you go over to the TEST PAGE you'll see there are some little pictures of the small icicles I've added to a few of the lights to see how they look. I think the ones on the lamps look alright but the ones on the ceiling lights look a bit strange. I tried just having groups of stalactites hanging from the ceiling in the Big Room but they looked really awful, totally artificial looking. Where would be good spots for icicles do you think?

On the subject of icicles, I think I'll just continue adding a few more of the ones in the pictures around the map. I might add a dripping sound to the larger ones, too, to add atmosphere. Other than that, I think we're about done I have an idea for my next duel map, too, as well as one for an FFA map that I've been carrying around for absolutely ages. SP version, Quall? I've barely got the hang of the (relatively) simpler MP maps!! Give me time
