First of all, the mandatory:

Anyway, I got SO many map ideas during that movie that I can't POSSIBLY do them all, but this idea is mine:

 

Duel in the Imperial Archives!

 

NO ONE TAKE THIS FROM ME, IT IS MINE. :D

I highly agree, Episode 2 (which was VERY cool!) throws out a LOT of good level opportunities. I can't wait to see what you come up with for the Jedi Archive (Not Imperial :) ), if you can make it as vast as it is in the movie, that would be incredibly cool.

 

I also agree about the Kamino landing platform, PERFECT for a duel-level, or as part of a bigger level. I don't think it necessarily has to have waves in it, the level could be based on a calmer day or night.

 

I'd also love to see a level based on the Geonesian arena, and Dooku's personal hanger. That last one just screams Multiplayer Duel level :)

 

A little less obvious for a level is the Lars homestead. I think I saw one of these for Jedi Knight. This would be a fun level if it's done properly. There are a few new hints in Episode 2 about the structure of the place. If someone can do a good job of this level, it would be a lot of fun :)

 

If anyone needs Episode 2 music to include in levels, I would be happy to provide it, I've converted my soundtrack to MP3. I won't give anyone the whole soundtrack, of course, but if you need a single song for a level, let me know.

 

I would contribute to some of these ideas if I had the foggiest idea of how to do levels, but instead I'll just encourage you guys :) Keep up the good work!

That would be a great map if someone can figure out how to script some violent lightning... playing one of the Duel of the Fatesish sounds while lightning is striking, the wind is howling, and you can hear waves crashing would be just...wow hehe.

 

EDIT: And I bet you could do waves if you made some func_trains out of watery patch meshes... but I dunno how good it would look. It would probably be better just to have water far far below the dueling area with a trigger_hurt an inch below the surface... but having the watery area really dark.

 

Meaning you fall into black darkness but you hear a splash right before you die...

 

Hmm... now I want to make this now too. :p

Er and yes... Jedi Archives, excuse me. :p They do BECOME the Imperial Archives though... hehehe.

 

And the only trick will be creating a shader for the blue and white "book" things in various rows of the archives... come to think of it, this might work better as an FFA or Jedi Master map... could be great as a Master map... all the non-jedi rush in from the center while the jedi is stuck in the center of the archives fending for his life... hmmm.

 

I'll hafta ponder on it... my SP Bespin map is my first priority, so it might be a while. :eek:

Hmm, I dunno if they'll become Imperial Archives, I kind of doubt the Jedi Temple is going to survive when the Purge gets going.

 

My only suggestion for this level is to make it vast. It's got to be as huge as it looks in the movie. If that's done, it'll be very cool :) You could even make it a short single player map, something like defending the Jedi records from Palpatine's forces during the Purge.
