Nebelwerfer_
Yah, AOTC was very inteligent and emotional, the acting got better after TPM. Lucas has redeemed himself. AOTC is now my favorite starwars movie, behind ESB.
Elegy
I definately agree, this movie rocked. Reviewers be damned, they suck anyways. And Yoda definately owns all.
SharaFett
is it just me, or did anyone else here feel a wave of triumph and revenge wash over them as anakin slaughtered the ****ing sandpeople? i was cheering him on LOL i preserved tickets 3 weeks in ahead cuz the manager of the digital movie theatre (the screen was groin-grabbingly huge) was a real-estate employee of my dad's. everyone who was at the theatre was a hard-core fan, and it was SOO MUCH FUN WHEN EVERYONE CLAPPED AT COOL MOMENTS SUCH AS THESE: 1. Anakin slaughters the sandpeople 2. padme stops kissing anakin (ehhe peopl were like, "OUCH!") 3. MACE WINDU SLICES JANGO'S HEAD CLEAN OFF OF HIS BODY 4. yoda waves his cloak to the side, revealing a lightsaber...MOJO TIME
ElScorcho
i agree. the best part of the movie to me was when anakin turned to the dark side for the first time and slaughtered the sand people. you could really feel the rage. i hate to admit it- but great acting on hayden christensen's part. awesome flick. ps- were chills going down anyone elses spines at the end when they showed the clone troopers boarding the ships? awesome! Chaotic~Angel
It wasnt just when he slaughtered the sand people his acting was amazing the entire time. You could see the dark lust he had for Padme and the evil in his eyes the entire time he looked at someone. Also in TPM Ani gives a nice 'evil' stare also but it goes unrecognized. When they first arrive in Coruscant (sp) and Qui-gon requests a meeting with the jedi counsel you see Ani sharply turn around the give an infernally evil stare but only for a moment like he knows what is to become of him. [bh] Jodo Kast
It's funny how accurate C-3PO was... every single line made me crack up... R2-D2 and 3PO have GREAT chemistry if that's possible! I agree: I felt fine when Yoda was kicking butt, because I expected it. But once the Jedi came out to play and waves of troopers came, *shivers* is the perfect way to explain it. EP3 is supposedly a continuation to the point where... Climax... then... years pass... and EPISODE 4 starts up again. I simply can't wait. <Boards a time machine and rides to the future!> <returns> OK.. just kidding. The spoilers would kill you... and me!
Hikeeba
I definitely enjoyed the movie, but I thought the sand people scene was cut too soon. And it looked over done to me. The build up to it was perfect, but I was hoping to see more than 3 go down in a carefully choreographed scene.
Nebelwerfer_
yah, there must have been more than one version of the movie because I heard first hand from reviewers that it shows ani kill the woman and children, and to bring up another good point: I never even saw any women or children sand people in the movie, they must have edited it at the last moment. if im wrong then, tell me. Broode
Why would it show someone ruthlessly cutting innocents (kinda) down without mercy? This movie is supposed to be rated PG! (I dunno what PG is in America, But It stands for Parental Guidence for those under the age of 15)

Nebelwerfer_
here's one: when obi meets yoda while he is teaching the todlers he say's "what's up homey obi". and as for the sand people massacre part, Why would they make toys of the women sand people and children if they werent even in the movie? There arent toys of more important people in the movie that played a big role, like darth sidious. The only explanation for this is that the movie was edited close to release and most of the sandpeople massacre was deleted. They only showed about 8 seconds of him killing the sandpeople, which is a hella lot less than the book made it sound.
BS - soundwave
IMO that scene was handled perfectly, you dont need to see it all to get the point, the sound of his saber slicing thru the raider just before the cut was menacing enough. Oh and you do see sand children, look closer.
TiE23
MAJOR SPOILER SKIP THIS POST IF YOU WANT TO BE SUPRISED * * * * * * * * * One thing that annoyed me that Jango Fett's end was so fast. I love Yoda and how when he finished fighting he started to walk slowly. It a lot of comedy, the C-3PO/ BattleDroid situation and that cook on Courasant, and I'm glad that Jar-Jar wasn't shown much. And I like the reaction of Watto when he saw Anakin. * * * * * * * * * * *
Deetox187
Originally posted by Nebelwerfer_ Well, I have proof, unfortunately I cant share with you that the bootlegged version out on the net IS different than the theatrical version. Sorry thats a load of BS, there are 3 bootlegged versions on the net, all of which were cammed in a movie theatre. Lucas isn't handing out any screener tapes or dvd's of the movie so theres no way you could have a copy of it with extra scenes unless George gave it to you himself. And btw you CAN prove it if you actually had it, all you'd have to do is take a couple screenshots of the extra scenes and post them up.
Fettish
One thing that annoyed me that Jango Fett's end was so fast Ya, I was pretty ticked too. He kind of just stood there while Mace swung his saber....... *sobs*
